I am Kelsey Raynor – an English & Film Studies graduate, experienced in social media & marketing. I am currently a full-time freelance games journalist, marketing consultant and content creator. I am particularly passionate about helping to expand on equality and diversity within media, and have specific interests in gaming, esports and streaming. This website acts as a portfolio of the work I am capable of, as well as a space in which I share my own personal critical and creative content too.
I am particularly interested in working within the gaming industry, be it for my marketing or journalism efforts, and assisting in making the industry more inclusive of women. I share most of my work and career updates via my Twitter.

With Gfinity, I was a full-time guides writer and game journalist – regularly contributing features, lists, op-eds, and more.
GameSpot is a prolific publication that I currently have the privilege of being a freelance news writer for in my spare time.
Filmmakers Without Cameras Zine is a magazine in which I currently assist with social media and marketing. Their focus is on cinema, gaming and how the two intertwine, and it has been an amazing passion project to be involved in.
GGRecon have had me covering the odd slice of horror game content with them, in the form of reviews and guides.
TheGamer is a gaming news & guides outlet that I regularly contributed guides and lists to previously.
At Localise, I was a Social Media & Marketing Executive. I was very passionate about Localise’s ETHOS of supporting independent stores, and it was a pleasure to be a part of the team.
Discerning Cyclist is a website whom I was an independent, contributing writer for. Their focus is on cycling and cycling fashion.
Scalarama are a company in which have been fantastic to work with. I have worked as a film programmer with their Leeds team, and assisted with their social media and marketing too.
Spirited Gamer is a newly-launched, online gaming and esports magazine of which I have contributed to as a freelancer.
The Gryphon is the University of Leeds magazine focused on bringing students the latest news in all things Leeds, Arts, Fashion, Sports, Music etc. I was a regular writer and photographer for the music pages. See my posts here.
Frequency 21 was a Lancaster University publication dedicated to discovering new and independent music in which I was a contributing writer and editor. Unfortunately the site has since been taken down after funding ceased/creators graduated, but it was a pleasure to be a part of.
The Star is a Sheffield publication in which I had the privilege of contributing an article to their physical newspaper about one of my deceased relatives sporting fame. See the article here.
